News This Week's Announcements   For the Week Beginning Sunday, July 4, 2010         The Faith/Trinity Committee: The next phase of our work together will be broken down into  3 parts: Organizational Interviews, Residential Interviews and a Community Walking Exercise.  We need members of the congregation to get involved!  Training for this work will be held on July 6 at 6:30 PM at Trinity. Cookout at the Mulls!  You are invited to Jim and Joan Mull’s on Saturday, July 10 at 5:00 PM for a potluck/cookout.  Meat, beverages and paper products provided; please bring a side dish or dessert to pass.  Children welcome!  Please RSVP to the Mulls at 866-2544 by July 8. Whitecaps Game: Sunday, July 25, 2010 at 1:00 pm Price is $9.00 a ticket which also includes a hot dog and soda. Sign up sheet is on the table in the Narthex. For information see Kathy Henderson or Carol Smedley.  Dollars for Doors:  As of June 27, we have collected $2,380.75 towards the new doors.  Please keep the contributions coming! Thank you! The Paper Gator has brought in a total of $235.92 in 2010.  This is an excellent way to bring in funds and help the environment, so keep feeding the Gator! Attention Thrivent Members! A New Way to Help Faith:  As you may know, Thrivent Financial for Lutherans is launching a new charitable grant program and benefit of membership called “Thrivent Choice”.  Our congregation is enrolled to receive gifts from “Thrivent Choice”.  We appreciate your consideration and hope you choose to help direct “Choice Dollars” to bless our ministry.  Thrivent Financial will mail letters to eligible members this summer.  Please contact Lois Fay, Congregational Advocate, at 616-361-8532 with any questions. For the Week Beginning Sunday, July 11, 2010          Bishop Schleicher to Preach Next Sunday, July 18: ONE SERVICE ONLY AT 10:00 AM.  The Synod Bishop John Schleicher will be preaching at Faith on Sunday, July 10.  There will be only one service at 10:00 AM.  Communion will be served.  Fellowship time will follow the service.  Make plans to attend!
