WORSHIP The author of the book of Hebrews says: “And let us consider how to provoke one another to love and good deeds, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day approaching” (Hebrews 10:24-25). For many, people, gathering to worship on Sunday morning seems to be a chore that they feel compelled to accomplish in order to satisfy God, but at Faith Lutheran we believe worship is something deeper and richer and more exciting than that.
Worship is our opportunity to gather as a body and voice our praise, lift our prayers, and share the word and the bread and wine. Worship allows us to confess our weakness and recall God’s forgiveness, offer something of ourselves to God’s use in the world, and share the peace of God with one another.
In worship we sing together, pray together, confess together, question together, and grow together as a people formed by God to follow God in our various settings in this world.
Our regular Worship services take place on Sunday mornings (8:30 am for a “classic” service and 11:00am for our casual service). We also offer Christmas Eve service, Ash Wednesday, MaundyThursday, Good Friday, and Mid-week Lenten Services.
The following Ministries are connected with our Worship:
Altar Guild—Those involved in this ministry help to decorate and prepare our Worship spaces for our services each week.
Bell Choir—Our Bell Choir provides lovely music for special occasions during the year. Our bells were recently tuned and the members of this group put them to good use as they offer beautiful arrangements for offertories, preludes and special music.
