Senior High Youth Group

Consists of all those kids in currently in Confirmation or High School. Our young people are a very important part of our life at Faith Lutheran Church. Over the past few years we have been blessed to see the youth group grow in the number of participants as well as in their enthusiasm.

As our young people grow and mature we are challenged to grow with them and provide appropriate activities that will continue to inspire their faith, offer them opportunities to share their faith with others, and encourage them to maintain strong friendships with one another and bonds with Christ and the church.

Camps

Each year our congregation helps our young people attend confirmation and High School camps at Stony Lake. This camp offers a variety of outdoor activities such as horseback riding, canoeing, and swimming, as well as campfires, Bible Studies, crafts, and a vibrant staff and counselors who challenge us to grow in our faith even as we're having the time of our life making friends and enjoying the beauty of the outdoors.

Elementary Youth Group

The Elementary Youth Group consists of Preschool and Elementary aged kids who gather for game nights, cookie decorating and delivery to our elders, visits to the zoo, water-play picnics, movies, Halloween Parties, and Breakfast with St. Nick.

National Youth Gathering

Every three years, 30,000 high school youth and their adult leaders from across the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America gather for a week of faith formation known as the ELCA Youth Gathering. Through days spent in interactive learning, worship, Bible study, service and fellowship, young people grow in faith and are challenged and inspired to live their faith in their daily lives.

An important part of the Gathering's ministry are the two pre-events, the Multicultural Youth Leadership Event (MYLE), a faith formation and leadership development event primarily for youth of color, and the tAble, a gathering that gathers, blesses and empowers youth with disabilities.
