Rome: Where kids explore God's love, live God's love, and feel God's love!
July 13 - 17, 2009
Location: St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, 1025 3 Mile Road NE, Grand Rapids
Dinner: 5:45 PM / Vacation Bible School 6:15 - 8:30 PM
Want to take a family vacation.... without leaving town? Experience an unforgettable adventure in Rome without ever leaving Grand Rapids!
Elbow your way through a crowded Roman marketplace. Learn with the Apostle Paul. Gasp as a thief is wrestled to the ground. Tiptoe past Roman guards to a hidden cave, where you can pray with some of the first century Christians who eagerly await news from their imprisoned friend, Apostle Paul. And that is just one day at this summer's most exciting vacation bible school!
From preschoolers to adults, visitors to Rome taste and smell authentic foods, dive into the culture, and craft hand made projects. There is something for everyone! Each participant becomes a part of a safe, family-like group where kids and adults form relationships as they explore ancient Rome.
Families will join together to form small tribal families - one of the twelve families of Rome. Small family tribes ensure that every participant is welcome, encouraged to participate, and affirmed. You may even want to come in simple robes or tunics and you will fit right in to the Bible times setting. Rome will be great fun for children of all ages. Even teenagers will enjoy signing on as Tribe Leaders or Assistant Tribe Leaders who help younger children.
So mark these dates on your calendar for July 13 - 17, 2009. The adventure begins with dinner at 5:45 PM and Vacation Bible School is from 6:15 - 8:30 PM. To register your family for this awesome Bible adventure, call (616)361-2679 or (616)361-0244. |
